The verdict
The G502 X Plus is Logitech’s wireless, RGB version of its long-running G502 shape, rebuilt for 2022 with the HERO 25K sensor and hybrid optical-mechanical switches. TechRadar, TweakTown, Gaming Nexus and Basic Tutorials agree it’s a refined, comfortable mouse with plenty of well-placed buttons, fast wireless and a genuinely useful free-spinning scroll wheel. The drawbacks they name are the high price, a weight that’s heavy for fast shooters, the removal of the old adjustable weights, no Bluetooth, and battery life that drops a lot with the lighting on.
Buyers at Best Buy rate it very highly, especially for battery life, comfort in medium-to-large hands and a dependable connection. The recurring gripes are the price, occasional G HUB problems and a loud scroll wheel.
It’s a great fit for right-handed players who play a mix of games (MMOs, strategy, casual shooters) and want lots of buttons. Competitive FPS players chasing low weight should look at an ultralight instead.
