The verdict
The Huntsman V3 Pro TKL uses Razer’s second-generation analog optical switches, so each key’s actuation point can be set from 0.1 to 4.0 mm, with rapid trigger and (via a later update) Snap Tap. Reviewers at PC Gamer, ProSettings.net and GamesRecon rate it as one of the most capable boards for competitive play. They highlight the smooth, responsive switches, how easy it is to change actuation on the fly with the dial and media keys, and a solid aluminium top plate with doubleshot PBT keycaps.
The downsides they note are the price, a loud and not especially pleasant typing sound, a magnetic wrist rest that feels harder and cheaper than older Razer ones, heavy Synapse software, and 1,000 Hz polling when rivals now offer 8K. We couldn’t verify a clean retailer rating yet, so there’s no Player score.
This entry is the original 2023 model. Razer released a separate 8KHz version in late 2025, which isn’t covered here. It suits players who want rapid trigger from a big brand with a fuller TKL layout than a 60% board.
